You will navigate on the Rhône throughout the Natura 2000 reserve of the islands of Malourdie. You may see a lot of birds native from the region as well as the mysterious beaver from Europe. There are some areas where you can eat and benefit from the calm and relaxing surroundings at the same time. You will then go to the "etang bleu" located in Vions (at the bottom of the Grand Colombier).
The return will be on a signposted path on different ways and little roads as well as the bicycle path of the ViaRhôna. You will be able to reach Seyssel throughout the 3 departments : l'Ain, la Savoie and la Haute-Savoie. You will be in the heart of one of the biggest forest with poplars in Europe while riding your bike along the Rhône. The distance is 20km and the way is very flat which make it easy to ride on.
The return takes 2h on average.
