In order to meet all our holidaymakers' needs, a large number of Savoie Mont Blanc's ski resorts are committed to improving facilities for families and for people with disabilities. Many resorts also provide other specialist services, such as winter caravan sites and camper van service areas.
"Famille Plus" is the first and only national tourism label to certify the family and children facilities and services provided by French tourist destinations. This label is recognised by the French Ministry of Tourism.
More than 30 resorts have introduced facilities for disabled skiers in Savoie Mont Blanc. These resorts have to meet a number of criteria: they must have ski schools capable of offering skiing lessons to disabled people, the site and accommodation must be accessible to disabled people and "resource people" must be available to give professional advice. All these facilities are checked during on-site inspections.
Some of our winter sports resorts provide special facilities for camper vans, in the form of service areas, reception areas or special parking areas.
Camper vans permitted to park in the resort
Ski resort caravan site that remains fully or partially open throughout the winter.
Camper van service areas
Service areas may be located in campsites, at the entrance to campsites or on public land. They provide facilities for filling drinking water tanks, emptying wastewater tanks, emptying chemical toilets and collecting household waste.
Camper van reception areas
Reception areas providing overnight parking for camper vans (extended to 24 or 48 hrs) may be located in campsites or on public land. Reception areas in campsites include service areas and parking spaces for camper vans. Some reception areas on public land will provide facilities for emptying wastewater tanks and filling drinking water tanks, and they all provide rubbish bins or containers. These reception areas must conform to local environmental constraints and specific parking spaces will be demarcated.
